No Elevators Day
No Elevators Day is a free global initiative highlighting a simple way for busy people to add physical activity to their day: #UseTheStairs instead of the elevator or escalator.
No Elevators Day
No Elevators Day started in 2015 as a European event. It quickly became one of the most popular NowWeMOVE events and in 2018 it went global.
Today No Elevators Day is celebrated in communities in over 40 countries across 5 continents.
No Elevators Day is a free event, and citizens, organisations, institutions and companies are all invited to seal off some of their elevators and escalators and encourage people to take the stairs. All activities under No Elevators Day title are voluntary and should take into consideration the accessibility requirements for disabled people or those not willing to participate.
