Does your city provide enough space for movement and fun?

We have to use our streets and public spaces creatively, and that means for more than traffic. Otherwise, it’s a waste of space.

Streets are existing facilities, and opening up them up to physical activity and movement is smart, sustainable and cost-efficient. We don’t need more construction, just a decision.

Streets are often located in densely populated areas – cities where a lot of people live and where we have few ordinary sports facilities.

So what are we waiting for?

You can ask the question if your city provides enough space for movement and fun. We believe it’s possible in any city, also in your local area.

Test your idea to open up a street or public space for people to be active – visit the Open Streets Day website to find out how.
