MOVE Week 2014 through the eyes of Ollerup International Academy of Physical Education
09/01/2015
Some time has passed since MOVE Week 2014, but if you were involved, we are sure you will remember many great moments from the event. The last week of September was full of fun, energy and engagement. Do you miss the buzz? Then check out this video and relive the atmosphere captured by students from International Academy of Physical Education in Ollerup, Denmark.
The Academy organised several events during MOVE Week 2014. The first two days were dedicated to tournaments in which 900 participants were involved. Students interested in topics such as project management, NGOs, volunteering and communication made use of the opportunity and took the experience of organising the events as a part of their learning process. Thanks to their non-formal education approach, the students succeeded in finding new networks and contacts, some of them in different countries as the Academy is an institution with an international scope. All together, Ollerup Academy organised 9 events and 2 flash mobs. The students worked with kindergarten, retirement home, schools and several companies and showed that everyone, from children to the elderly to office employees, can have a lot of fun while being physically active.
Although MOVE Week 2014 is now behind us, don’t forget that we have a full year of activities and events ahead us as part of the NowWeMOVE campaign. We never stop moving and we look forward to MOVE Week 2015!
