European Parliament initiative increases focus on Sport for All

Led by MEP Joanna Senyszyn, a cross-political group of 5 members of European Parliament on Tuesday, 14. September launched a Written Declaration to increase EU support for grass-root sport.

The Launch Event featured a presentation by ISCA President Mogens Kirkeby, who called the written Declaration “a milestone in the political engagement in sport at European level. It is a very encouraging and visionary political initiative.”

With three months to get at least 50% of MEPs to support to the Written Declaration in order for it to take effect, the five MEPs and ISCA will now initiate a campaign to this end.
