Step Up for No Elevators Day 2025!

Let’s be real—elevators are great… but so are legs. No Elevators Day is back on 30 April 2025, and it’s your chance to ditch the lift and take the stairs. One small step for you, one giant leap for your health!

Why join?
Because movement matters. Climbing stairs is a simple, free, and surprisingly effective way to boost fitness, burn calories, and add a little adventure to your daily routine. Plus, skipping the lift saves you from awkward elevator small talk.

How to get involved?

  1. Organise a No Elevators Day event – At work, at school, or in your community. Need ideas? We got you: watch this video.
  2. Spread the movement – Share your stair-climbing wins with #UseTheStairs and #NoElevatorsDay. Challenge your friends, call out your boss, and make it a thing!
  3. Take the pledge – Try using the stairs for 3 weeks (or go big and commit to 3 months). That’s how long it takes to build a habit!

Then, once No Elevators Day is here, you can celebrate by enjoying an active break outside by finding the highest and most spectacular climbing staircase in your area. Check out the video to see how at last year's #NoElevatorsDay, we at ISCA found a rare "mountain" to climb at CopenHill: a skiing, running, and climbing hill in the heart of Copenhagen.
