The International Sport and Culture Association (ISCA) and the Sports and Society Accelerator (SSA) are organising an online roundtable to explore the measurement and communication of impact in the Sport and Physical Activity (SAPA) sectors across India, Europe, and the world. This event marks the first of its kind interaction between stakeholders in India and Europe, offering a unique platform for experts, practitioners, and stakeholders to share insights, best practices, and challenges in evaluating and communicating the impact of SAPA-based initiatives across the two contexts. Registration is now open for the online event 'Measuring and communicating impact in the Sport and Physical Activity (SAPA) sector' on 22 May 2024 at 10:30 AM - 12:30 PM CEST / 2 PM - 4 PM IST.

The roundtable will feature expert presentations and interactive discussions on key topics related to impact measurement and communication, including approaches and methodologies for measuring the impact of SAPA-based initiatives, strategies for effectively communicating impact to stakeholders, and addressing challenges and identifying opportunities in monitoring impact evaluation.

There will also be dedicated discussions on underrepresented groups in SAPA – for example, girls, women and people with disabilities – aiming to identify best practices and innovative approaches to enhance their participation and impact in the ecosystem.

Participants will have the opportunity to engage in discussions, share their experience and ask questions to help us delve deeper into specific themes.

The Sports and Society Accelerator and UNESCO New Delhi have been working together on creating an SAPA Impact Assessment framework that will look to be a common reporting framework to assess the impact of SAPA-based initiatives in India.

The target audience includes social enterprise, associations, researchers, and policymakers involved in SAPA initiatives who are interested in enhancing their impact assessment and reporting practices, particularly in relation to underrepresented groups.

The roundtable aims to produce actionable recommendations and insights to enhance impact measurement and communication in the global SAPA sector, with a specific focus on promoting inclusivity and diversity.
